In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Karnataka Value Added Tax Act, 2003 (Karnataka Act 32 of 2004), the Government of Karnataka hereby reduces with effect from the first day of April, 2013, the tax payable by a dealer under the said Act to five and one half per cent on the sale of following goods, namely,-
(1) Containers used in kitchen or household, namely, tiffin carriers; vessels, pots, boxes, cans and drums of different shapes with or without lids; basins; bowls; tumblers; jars; and jugs.
(2) Doors and window frames and door and window shutters made from waste plastic. .
(3) Supplementary nutrition food sold to Women and Child Welfare Department.
(4) Cocoa husk.
(5) Refractory Monolithic Powder.
