The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas fell sharply to US$ 103.17/barrel (bbl) on 11.04.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 104.02/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 10.04.2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price went down to Rs 5625.86/bbl on 11.04.2013 as compared to Rs 5672.21/bbl on 10.04.2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms. Rupee dollar exchange rate on 11.04.2013 at Rs 54.53/US$ was same as prevalent on previous trading day of 10.04.2013.
