The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments:
(i) Shri Pradeep Kumar Sinha, IAS(UP:77), Secretary, Ministry of Shipping as Secretary, Ministry of Power vice Shri P.Uma Shanker, IAS(UP:76), on his retirement on 30.06.2013.
(ii) Ms.Gauri Kumar, IAS(GJ:79), Special Secretary, Ministry of Mines as Secretary (Border Management), Ministry of Home Affairs in the vacancy of Shri A.K.Mangotra, IAS(MT:78).
(iii) Shri Syamal Kumar Sarkar, IAS(WB:79), Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources as Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions vice Shri P.K.Misra, IAS(UP:76), on his retirement on 30.06.2013.
(iv) Shri Alok Rawat, IAS(SK:77), Secretary (Coordination and Public Grievances), Cabinet Secretariat, as Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, vice Shri Syamal Kumar Sarkar, IAS (WB:79), on his relinquishing the charge of the post.
(v) Shri Vishwapati Trivedi, IAS (MP:77), Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India, as Secretary, Ministry of Shipping vice Shri Pradeep Kumar Sinha, IAS(UP:77), on his relinquishing the charge of the post.
