Notification Under Section 35AC in respect of National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi,   the 07th October, 2013

S.O. 3033(E)- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government, on the recommendations of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, hereby notifies the institutions approved by the said National Committee, mentioned in column (2) of the Table below, and approves the eligible projects or schemes specified to be carried on by the said institutions and the estimated cost thereof as mentioned in column (3) of the said Table, and also specifies in the column (4) of the Table the maximum amount of such cost which may be allowed as deduction under the said Section 35AC for the period of approval, namely:”

Kulswami Medical Foundation, Shanti Nursing Home, Alephata, Tal Junnar, Pune. Upgrade and expansion of Anantrao Kanase Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital.

(Cost of Rs. 13.08 crore including a corpus fund of Rs.2 crore.)

 Rs. 13.08 crore including a Corpus Fund of Rs.2 crore, for three financial years commencing with 2013-14 i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16.

 Rs. 4.52 crore for three financial years commencing with 2013-14 i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16.

Setting of hospital for below poverty line, reserved category, minority community, orphans, widow, street children, handicapped, senior citizen and needy patient residing in rural, slums, industrial, unauthorized colonies, construction sites, underserved areas.

Rs.2.00 crore for three financial years commencing with 2013-14 i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16.

 Rs. 27.97 crore for three financial years commencing with 2013-14 i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16.

 Rs. 2.50 crore including a Corpus Fund of Rs.1.00 crore for three financial years commencing with 2013-14 i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16.

Shri Krishna Kumar Singhji School and Home for the Blind Trust, Opp. New Filter, Bhavnagar – 364 002, Gujarat. Extension and Support of present Activities.

(Cost of Rs. 6.26 crore including corpus fund of Rs. 5 crore.)

 Rs. 6.26 crore including a Corpus Fund of Rs.5.00 crore for three financial years commencing with 2013-14 i.e., 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16.

II. This notification shall remain in force for a period of three years in relation to financial years 2013-14, 2014-15 & 2015-16 in respect of the projects or schemes mentioned at serial numbers 1 to 15 of the Table above.
