Public Notice No.  70/2009-2014 (RE-2010)

Subject:   Authorising EIC for issuing Certificate of Origin under India-Japan CEPA Addition of ˜India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IJCEPA)™ in the Heading of  Appendix 4D of Handbook of Procedures Vol-I (Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms) 2009-2014.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes an addition in the heading of Appendix 4D of Handbook of Procedure Vol. I (Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms) 2009-2014, as described in para 2 below.  Last such addition was made in Public Notice No.58/2009-2014 dated 30th June, 2011.

2.       In the heading, the phrase and India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA) would be replaced by India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA) and India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IJCEPA). 

3.       There is no change in the content of the Appendix 4D, and hence EIC continues to be the authorized agency.

4.       Effect of Public Notice:

EIC would also be the authorized agency to issue Certificate of Origin under India-Japan CEPA with immediate effect.
