DGFT-Amendment in paragraph 6.9 of Foreign Trade Policy

Subject:         Amendment in paragraph 6.9 of FTP.

S.O (E) :         In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, as amended,  read with paragraph 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014 (RE 2010).

2.         In existing paragraph 6.9, the sentence, Following supplies effected from EOU/EHTP/STP/BTP units to DTA will be counted for fulfillment of positive NFE: shall be substituted by the sentences, Following supplies effected from EOU/EHTP/STP/BTP  units will be counted for fulfillment of positive NFE. Such  supplies  shall not include marble,  except if such supply  of marble is an inter unit supply as provided at paragraph (c) below:

4.         Effect of this amendment :

This amendment in paragraph amplifies that EOUs cannot supply marble in Domestic Tariff Area under Paragraph 6.9 of FTP, except under Paragraph 6.9(c) of FTP.
