Shri Kapil Sibal Inaugurates Annual Conference of CCAs
The annual conference of the Controllers of Communication Accounts (CCAs) of the Department of Telecom was inaugurated by the Minister for Communications and Information Technology Sh Kapil Sibal here today. The inauguration was also attended by the Secretary and Members of the Telecom Commission.
In his inaugural address, the Minister stressed upon the need to have a good working ecosystem and synergy between the various stakeholders in order to meet the manifold challenges of the telecom sector as set out in NTP-2012. He said that the CCA office has to play a vital role in this regard to contribute to making the telecom sector in India even more vibrant and stronger.
The two day conference is being attended by 25 Pr. CCAs and CCAs. The conference shall review the progress achieved in respect of diverse range of issues covering revenue collection, assessment of licencses, pensioners™ welfare and challenges being faced by the CCA offices.
