The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) has approved the proposal of Government of Haryana for inclusion of Bhiwani and Mahendragarh districts of state of Haryana in National Capital Region (NCR).
The proposals for inclusion of districts in the NCR are recommended by the respective NCR participating States. The justifications given by State Governments were (i) contiguity to the existing NCR boundary, (ii) road and rail connectivity and (iii) economic drivers.
NCRPB has not received any fresh proposal for inclusion of the cities in NCR from the Government of Uttar Pradesh
This was informed by the Minister of State of Urban Development, Mrs Deepa Dasmunshi in the Rajya Sabha.
