Section 408 of Companies Act, 2013 – Constitution of National Company Law Tribunal

SECTION 408. CONSTITUTION OF NATIONAL COMPANY LAW TRIBUNAL

[Effective from 12th September, 2013]

The Central Government shall, by notification, constitute, with effect from such date as may be specified therein, a Tribunal to be known as the National Company Law Tribunal consisting of a President and such number of Judicial and Technical members, as the Central Government may deem necessary, to be appointed by it by notification, to exercise and discharge such powers and functions as are, or may be, conferred on it by or under this Act or any other law for the time being in force.

 

Applicable Notification

Notification constituting the National Company Law Tribunal under Sections 408 of the Companies Act, 2013

Notification No. S.O. 1932(E) dated 1st June, 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 408 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby constitutes the National Company Law Tribunal to exercise and discharge the powers and functions as are, or may be, conferred on it by or under the said Act with effect from the 1st day of June, 2016.
