The state government of Haryana will be announcing its startup policy at the Digital Haryana Summit next month, in an attempt to make it easier for entrepreneurs to launch and run businesses in the state.
The state government has worked on the policy for over two years. It will be finally be launched in the presence of chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar next month, at the Digital Haryana Summit. The start-up policy will provide anchor support for the state’s entrepreneurs.
The summit will be held on September 15 in Gurgaon. The government had earlier planned to launch the policy in 2015, and then later in 2016. But on both occasions, it suffered unprecedented delays.
Even though late, industry members are hopeful the new policy will increase ease of doing business and promote Gurgaon as a startup hub.
The policy will make Haryana into an even bigger start-up hub than it already is. The fine print of the policy is yet to be made public, but startups are expecting the state government to come up with provisions for cheap finance, easier processes and incentives for industry.
