The Government of India’s mega event ‘Make in India’ in Mumbai from 13-18 February, 2016 at the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai has been inaugurated by the gracious and respectful hands of Sri Narendraji Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, in the august presence of Shri CH. Vidyasagar Rao, Governor of Maharashtra, Shri DevendraFadnavis, Chief Minister, Maharashtra, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, MoS (IC) for Commerce & Industry, Government of India and many other dignitaries.
The ‘Make in India’ week, in the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s own words, “Make in India week celebrates the achievements of the manufacturing sector and offers insights into the investment opportunities in India.”
This event facilitates showcasing the prowess of people, policies and partnerships driving India’s new manufacturing revolution and is going to serve as a huge stepping stone for furthering sensitization in this vital sector.
This week long calendar offers access, insights and opportunities to connect, showcase and collaborate with Indian and global industry leaders, visionaries, academicians, central and state administrations, amongst others.There are Pavilions of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Revenue amongst many others.
ICSI takes pride in having a footprint in this Make in India Week.President, ICSI, CS Mamta Binani has been a part of the inaugural function of this mega event. Our Institute, ICSI is playing a pivotal role in partnering with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Company Secretaries are participating with great zeal and dedication and offering expert advice in matters arising out of Companies Act, Corporate Restructuring, LLP, FEMA, Listing Regulations, Agreements like Joint Venture, Scheme of Arrangements and Compromise etc. With the support of MCA and the RD (West) and ROC, live Company incorporation is offered from the MCA pavilion in hall number 26. Our esteemed professionals are offering their services in all the above for the designated days of the Make in India Week. ICSI’s publication has also been displayed. Enquiries have already started flowing in from stakeholders and there is lot of enthusiasm in the Pavilion.
Today saw the gracious presence of respected Secretary, Shri Tapan Ray, Ministry of Corporate Affairs alongwith Joint Secretary, Shri Murthy, Shri K L Kamboj, Regional Director (West) along with many other dignitaries.
Tomorrow, i.e. 14.02.2016 will witness the kind presence of the Shri Arun Jaitley, Honourable Minister for Corporate Affairs, I & B.
