The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued a General Notice asking the stakeholders to avoid congestion w.r.t. Annual e-filings and to make filings on time.
The move also comes against the backdrop of the Ministry launching the Company Law Settlement Scheme that provides immunity for thousands of entities that have defaulted on making statutory filings. The scheme, which began on August 15, would end on October 15.
Therefore, the ministry makes a request to the companies to file their Balance Sheet and Annual Returns well in time without postponing it to the last days.
According to it, this would help in avoiding last minute rush and system congestion on the MCA21 portal on account of filings under the Company Law Settlement Scheme as well.
