New Delhi, the 9th September, 2011 

Subject:- Removal of ban on export of wheat.

S.O.(E)          In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import items, as amended from time to time.

2.         In supersession of Notification No. 33(RE-2007)/2004-2009, dated 08th October, 2007, the following amendments are made with immediate effect against entry at Sl. No.46A of Chapter 10 of  Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) : –

 Sub-heading Note : The term durum wheat means wheat of the Triticum durum species and the Hybrids derived from the inter specific crossing of Triticum durum which have the same number (28) of chromosomes as that species.

3.         Effect of this notification:

Export of wheat has been made free.  Exports shall be only through Custom EDI ports.
