Haryana would develop a roadmap for IT application and e-governance for the next 10 years.
The state government wants to achieve efficiency, transparency and accountability in governance by providing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) enabled access and opportunity for all, anytime anywhere, state Chief Secretary, Urvashi Gulati said here.
It has been decided to set up a State Innovation Council, she said.
While speaking at one-day IT Visioning Workshop organised by Information Technology Department here today, Gulati proposed to institute gold, silver and bronze awards for government employees suggesting innovation for bringing efficiency in delivery of services.
She emphasised to keep people before technology as e-governance did not automatically become good governance if the issues of people are pushed into the background.
Gulati stressed the need to improve the delivery system to provide basic services to the people.
