The Securities and Exchange Board of India issued SEBI (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2014 pertaining to the raising of the investment limits of the anchor investors and also relating to the preferential issues.
This circular shall be made applicable on or after the date of the circular.
In order to remove the difficulties the impact of such circular shall be as follows:
1. The revised regulations regarding the anchor investors as specified in regulation 43 shall be applicable to the issuers filling the offer documents with the Registrar of Companies which shall be made applicable on or after the date of notification.
2. The new revised guidelines pertaining to the preferential issues shall be made applicable on those preferential issues where the notice of the general meeting for passing special resolution by the shareholders is issued on or after the date of this circular i.e. 11th September, 2014.
