For the first time International Film Festival of India will include social responsibility and inclusivity as part of the festival. On Nov 27, parents of children with special needs would give film makers, media and delegates, a glimpse into the lives of these special people and families, through 3 small films that have been made by documentary film maker Gautam Chintamani and his team on them. These films are – ˜JANAM™, ˜AAGAZH™ and ˜PARVAAZ™.
Shalini Gupta, Neena Wagh and Kusum Tiwari, the three mothers who are a part of an informal group ˜SAATH™, and have come forward to sensitize film makers and delegates about their mission to create an awareness about the needs of such children and their families.
Speaking to the media at a press conference at the media centre here today, IFFI Director Shri Shankar Mohan said that cinema has always been about social change and awareness and therefore IFFI has given this platform to these brave parents who would be interacting with the delegates and sharing their experiences.
