The GST Council in its 17th Meeting has published the draft rules on Electronic Way Bill which were drafted in April under the GST Regime.
This draft of e-way bill makes it necessary for movement of all goods valued over Rs. 50,000 to be registered with the Goods and Service Tax -Network (GSTN).
The Government is under way developing E-way bill system, until that time they may issue notification specifying the documents that a person in charge of a conveyance carrying any consignment goods shall carry while goods are in movement or in transit storage.
Further, the GSTN Chairman clarified on Friday that the system is ready to roll-out on July 1.
