A two day MSME-DI Officers Conference on Policy Changes on Effective Implementation of MSME Schemes : Analysis and Road Map was conducted by the Office of Development Commissioner under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
In his valedictory address the Minister of MSME, Shri Virbhadra Singh complemented the initiative taken and emphasized on completing mandated target of the Ministry to train 15 Million people by the Ministry. A book titled Self Employment, was also released by the Minister.
This conference, first of its kind, was held under the leadership of Shri Uday Kumar Varma, Secretary (MSME). Dr. Shyam Agarwal, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, MSME, for effective implementation of schemes which will be a road map for sustainable development and growth of MSMEs in the country.
The concept papers were discussed among seven working groups on Institutional Finance, Infrastructure Development, Technology and Innovation, Marketing and Procurement including International Cooperation, Skill Development Training, Planning, Publicity, National Awards, Institutional Structure and Action Plan.
Working groups constituted for detailed deliberations brought out implementable suggestions for the effective implementation of all schemes of DC(MSME).
The Conference was attended by State Directors of MSME DIs and all Senior Officers of the Ministry and DC (MSME). The valedictory function ended with Vote of Thanks by the Additional Development Commissioner, Sh. Samarendra Sahu.
The venue of the Conference was the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), is a premier organization of the Ministry of MSME engaged in promotion of entrepreneurial culture among unemployed youth and persons through out the country. It has been provided Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs) and Entgrepreneurship Skill Development Programmes (ESDPs) in more than 100 trades of the industry for enhancing employability and or to help the trained persons in setting up their own enterprises. NIESBUD has also provided training to various foreign nationals from more than 120 countries who have benefitted from its expertise under the Skill Development endeavour of the Prime Minister. NIESBUD plans to provide training to more than 3.5 lakh persons by the year 2022.
